In the eight years I have helped clients with their events, the services I gave my clients frequently went above and beyond floral design. I acted as event planner, recommending vendors, scheduling vendors, and handling the timeline of the event, including the direction of rehearsals and a potentially extensive redecoration of the venue decor and floor plan to create a completely personal look in accordance to my clients' needs.

This proved to be a natural progression into project management when multitasking and juggling of experts, specialists, and funders is essential to the successful completion of the project.

No timeline is too challenging, no project too arduous.

GoToServiceLearning is a nation-wide effort by Youth Service America, State Farm Companies Foundation, and America's Promise Alliance to align the service-learning philosophy with state mandated academic standards. Our timeline from start to finish was a little over 90 days and our goals were bold: build, from scratch, a website and online database featuring the lesson plans of at least twelve teachers that fulfil academic standards in their state while completing a service-learning experience. I worked as the conduit between our specialists, teachers, funders, and technological wizards, inputing, when necessary, design and template requirements throughout the process. While I understood my role as facilitator, I was also diligently keeping all contributors on task to fulfil our stated goal. The result is GoToServiceLearning, a site and database and I am very proud to have been a part of and which is still maintained and updated by Youth Service America.
